Gametize Branding Assets

About

As Creative Director for almost 2 years at Gametize, I redesigned Gametize’s brand to a more sleek, professional look. I also created various marketing materials to increase Gametize’s brand presence and assist in client pitches such as demo videos, landing pages, and brand templates.

Main Landing Page

I designed landing pages for Gametize to showcase Gametize’s offerings and value proposition, all with the target objectives to convert the user to try out the free trial.

Use Case Landing Pages

In addition to the main landing page, I also designed 4 more landing pages specifically targeted towards those considering Gametize for specific use cases (such as HR for employee engagement). For these, I worked with a copywriter who devised the copy & keywords, while I recommended and designed the overall structure, visuals, and contents.
In addition to the keyword research conducted, I also researched for examples of landing pages and their structure. For example, we used Shopify’s free trial landing page, for how they chose to omit certain information to get the user to convert.

I also heavily reference Unbounce and how they had targeted landing pages referencing use cases for specific audiences.

Other Landing Pages

I also designed other pages on the Gametize website to ensure a user-friendly experience, while optimizing for SEO.
The Free Trial Page is designed for conversions – to entice people to sign up for a free trial. Thus, we decided to design the page to make it as easy as possible to sign up for a free trial, by omitting barrier of entry and other information that might distract the user.

The Login/Register Page initially targeted both Administrators and Players, and we strategized that since our target audience to sign up via Gametize.com would be Administrators, designed the login & registration process in such a way that would emphasize the Admin experience and de-emphasize the Player experience.

The Pricing Page is designed to not only inform users at a glance of our available pricing plans, but to also share the value proposition of the Gametize platform – which features would be available at which tier of subscription plan. Gametize-pricing-page
On the other hand, our Enterprise Page is a landing page that showcases the different services available with our Enterprise Plans, and is designed for the user to get in touch with the Gametize Sales & Client Engagement Team.

Gametize Academy – Masterclass Portal

Another major project was to create a Gametize Academy – Masterclass Certification Program & Portal, where users would learn how to use the Gametize platform while picking up gamification best practices. The inspiration for this was academies by similar organizations, such as Atlassian University and Hubspot Academy. The brief for the Gametize Academy was to create a brand that was still distinctively Gametize, while being different enough from the main brand.
The first part of the portal are landing pages highlighting the value proposition of the Masterclasses. The learning journey & key takeaways give the user a preview of what they can expect to learn.

The Course Preview page gives a more detailed overview of the course duration and certifications received. There are 3 Masterclass Certifications, according to level of expertise, with the idea to monetize them in the future.

The Login/Register Page initially targeted both Administrators and Players, and we strategized that since our target audience to sign up via Gametize.com would be Administrators, designed the login & registration process in such a way that would emphasize the Admin experience and de-emphasize the Player experience.

Email Templates & Journey

I also designed other pages on the Gametize website to ensure a user-friendly experience, while optimizing for SEO.
These are emails designed to welcome the user and provide them onboarding resources when they first sign up or send in an enquiry. The general body text is similar, but the emails and copywriting varies slightly depending on the purpose and target audience.

These are emails generated by the platform based on functions such as updating billing information, changing subscription plan, and receiving notifications on your activity in-project. The emails are designed to be plain and functional, with emphasis on the call-to-action.

Our previous email template was not brand-aligned and was not very descriptive (see below). In addition, many of them weren’t actually very functional, with few links to the relevant information and little chance for outreach and re-engagement.

I researched email designs and copywriting from other service providers, such as Netflix, Twilio, Airtable, and Screenhero, as seen below.

Gametize Templates

I designed the UI/UX flow for Gametize’s Templates, where users can preview pre-created templates based on a variety of use cases (such as employee engagement, learning, etc.) and import Templates into their own Project. Gametize’s Templates are designed at three levels for maximum flexibility during content creation.
There are two versions for the Templates flow depending on whether the user is an existing Gametize Administrator or not – this version below targets a new Gametize user, and is designed to give users not necessarily familiar with the platform how end-products created using the Gametize platform might look like.
The second version is targeted towards existing Gametize Administrators during their content creation process, and is designed to give Admins the fastest possible content creation flows – they can preview and instantly import contents into the Project.
The filter in mobile had to be redesigned quite significantly so that it could be interacted with using hand movements & finger gestures, while being able to show as much information as in desktop/tablet.

For this, I took some inspiration from Reddit and how they designed their mobile app’s filters (e.g. “Hot, Top, New” posts).

For research, I consulted Airtable’s and Trello’s Templates extremely heavily as they have a similar content management system to Gametize.

I also researched on what would be the flow for users to select between a blank slate and pre-created template.

The next step to Gametize Templates would be something such as a Gametize Templates Marketplace, which is intended to be a community-driven version of the Templates library – to enable the community to contribute their own templates and take the burden of content creation off the Gametize team, while allowing creators to make themselves known as experts in the community.

Gametize Demo Video

Creation of a demo video of the Gametize platform to showcase Gametize’s features at a glance – to show prospects and stakeholders how easy it is to create a game without any coding knowledge.
The brief was to create a video (of approximate 120-240 seconds) to walk through the Gametize platform. While it could target those who were already interested in Gametize and gamification as a solution, it was also meant to capture new audiences. Part of the storyboarding was to determine how much to showcase of the Administrator role, and the Player role, and to reference other explainer video samples, as well as to create the “story” of the demo game.

I worked with a junior designer to devise the storyboard, source sound, visuals (such as stock photos), and create visual assets and screen captures of the Gametize platform. Afterwards, I put everything together in post-production using After Effects.
