User Experience & Assessment Journey

Users will receive the link via promotional channels such as email, newsletters, and Workplace. To reduce barrier of entry, they only need to input their name to start the assessment. The quiz consists of about 20 MCQ questions, with 4 possible personality results.
Each personality result has a dedicated landing page with a deep dive on the meaning of your result, and actionables you can do to recharge and #PowerUp at work. Users can additionally share their results by copying a clipboard snippet, and send their results to their email.

Retaining Quiz Results & Retaking the Quiz
We determined it was unlikely that users would re-access the platform, but in the case the user did, they would be able to use their email & password to re-login. Their most recent result would be displayed, with the option for them to re-take the quiz as many times as they wanted.
Research – Flow & Copy
The assessment itself is based heavily on the existing DISC Assessment, but tailored in a way to suit the target audience in Microsoft’s regional organizations in APAC better. I worked with my colleague (who is proficient in data analysis) to do the weighting of the questions.
I took heavy inspiration from the popular 16Personalities website for the copy, user interface, and general concept, and we referenced it heavily during the course of project development.

Research – Branding & Visuals
We worked with our client to devise the look & feel of the platform, deciding to go with illustrations to be more inclusive (without needing to use photos). Illustrations would also give the quiz a more fun, quirky vibe – something they could do for fun while still at their desk working. I worked with a junior designer to create the illustrations.
The color palette background are also adherent to Microsoft’s brand guidelines.
