Workato: Digital Automation Hub Opening & Office Branding | Singapore 2022

About

Workato opened a bigger Singapore office at Suntec Tower 4 in April 2022, acting as Workato APJ’s HQ and Singapore’s first Digital Automation Hub. In conjunction with our OOH campaign, we wanted to make a splash with a ministerial tour for our office opening, along with unveiling our revamped office branding.

Singapore Office Branding

One of my KPIs for the office launch was to ensure the office had engaging and visually compelling pieces of branding throughout, that would serve as talking points and photo spots for all attendees.

Journey of Workato Mural

This mural greets people as they walk into the office, serving as a major highlight for office tours and gives the journey of Workato with focus on the APJ region. We worked closely with a local artist to create the mural.
Research & References
My role consisted of sourcing vendors, providing references, creative directionm and design feedback. I also worked with multiple stakeholders (regional leads, executive leadership, and early joiners) to craft the timeline & significant milestones.

#ILoveWorkato Mural

Another notable piece of branding is the #ILoveWorkato mural at the recreation area, designed by the same mural artist. It is intended to be a more casual piece, to give the office a fun atmosphere and uniquely Singapore flavor, and also a photo stop for all office attendees.
Research & References

For this mural, I also provided references, creative direction, and design feedback to the mural artist.

Workbots Phone Booths

The 4 phone booths each have a Workbot (Workato bot providing automations to enhance workflows) design. In addition to providing some privacy, the bots also serve as another talking point, as all 4 bots were built by the APJ team and serve different departments and functions (e.g. app provisioning, fielding Marketing requests, etc.)

Glass Frosting

I also designed glass frosting around different panels, with consideration to the level of privacy needed for each room and to provide a subtle additional piece of branding. Doors that were frosted include: front entrance, conference room, meeting rooms, and back entrance.

Digital Automation Hub Launch

For the tour, Our CEO, Vijay Tella, flew in to Singapore to give the inaugural speech. Our guest of honor was Minister Tan Kiat How (Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry of National Development), who, with several media outlets and other agencies, was given a tour of the office and spoke with several members of Workato.
News Coverage

I also helped to design the MOUs which were symbolically signed during the event.

Office Launch Workflow Video Presentation
Part of the minister’s tour during the office launch was to speak to two Workato staff to walk through automations they built. We created a video as a visual aid for our colleague Steven to demonstrate his planned automation, where a prospect would be able to easily book an in-office meeting with a Workato representative via form request.
Landing Page
We created a landing page which was accessible to attendees via QR codes situated throughout the office to showcase the Digital Automation Hub’s features and enable users to book a demo request.
